Orion--was the giant hunter of Boeotia, Endowed with beauty and charm. He was in love with the daughter of Oenopion. Orion asked for Oenopions consent to marry his daughter but he took took to long and Orion raped his daughter. Oenopion was upset by this and he made Orion blind. Orion made his way to Lemnos where Hephaestus gave him Cidalion as a guide to lead him to the East. When his sight was in line with the Oracle He lived once more as a hunter. In that time he stayed with Artemis. There are said to be several ways of his death.
